Bruxism

Bruxism is the upper and lower teeth, grinding against each other. It is known in daily use as gnashing one’s teeth. The most important cause is orthodontic diseases and bite occlusion defects, daily stress and it can be seen in earlier ages due to asthma and allergies.

If it is not treated, bruxism can cause abrasion in dental hard tissue, broken teeth, sensitivity, gum diseases (such as receding gums), swaying teeth, neck pain, jaw joint issues, restraint in opening and closing the mouth and jaw locking.

After your examination, our doctors diagnose you and create a treatment plan for you. After the usage of joint splints, medicine treatment, arthrocentesis or orthodontic treatment is advised in the case of need.
